Successful & Inspiring HSE In University with Air Selangor
Universiti Selangor (UNISEL), in collaboration with Air Selangor, successfully organized the HSE In University program on 1 October 2025. The initiative was aimed at strengthening students’ awareness and understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices in the workplace.
Highlights of the HSE In University Program
The HSE In University program welcomed enthusiastic participation from three faculties:
- Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences
- Faculty of Health Sciences
- Faculty of Computing, Visual Art, and Communication
Representing the Faculty of Health Sciences were En. Mohd Amir bin Arshad and Puan Fauzana binti Mustafa from the Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health (ISM KKP) program. Their involvement highlights the faculty’s commitment to supporting industry-linked activities that strengthen students’ professional competencies.
Interactive Learning and Activities
Participants experienced a full day of engaging modules and hands-on sessions, which included:
- Workplace Health & Safety Awareness
- Environmental Awareness
- Emergency Response Training
- Workplace Assessment & Spot the Hazard group activity
The HSE In University program also featured light exercise sessions, group presentations, and a fun quiz segment where prizes and certificates were awarded to top participants.
Impact on Students
The collaboration with Air Selangor not only provided students with vital workplace safety knowledge but also instilled values of sustainability, preparedness, and responsibility. Through the HSE In University program, students were empowered to become graduates who are safety-conscious, environmentally aware, and ready to take on the challenges of the modern workplace.
